Identify an object from a photo

You already have the picture. Drop it in — a photo, a screenshot, a scan or a PDF — and the same pipeline reads it. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

When this beats the camera

A photograph somebody sent you. A screenshot of an error. A scan of a page. A picture you took earlier of a label you meant to look up. And it is the honest answer when a browser has blocked camera access, because that refusal is sticky and asking again cannot undo it.

What it takes

PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP and PDF. The free reader tops out around one megabyte and three PDF pages; larger files are refused by the reader with a message saying so, rather than failing silently and leaving you to guess.

Questions

Is my photo kept?

Not by us, unless you are signed in and save it. It is sent to whichever reader is configured on this deployment, and the result names that provider.

Can it read a PDF?

Yes, up to about three pages on the free tier. Each page comes back separately.
